An uncommon hotel at the bottom of the 'Erzgebirge' introduces itself: Embedded in the
atmosphere of the WASSERSCHLOSS KLAFFENBACH, with its nearly 400-year old history, the
SCHLOSSHOTEL KLAFFENBACH RINGHOTEL CHEMNITZ is situated in the valley of the Wuerschnitzaue.
The castle Klaffenbach, a typical castle from the Renaissance, was probably built by Freiherr
Dietrich von Taube in 1616. Between 1962 and 1995, the wonderful park was relayed and the
SCHLOSSHOTEL with its various restaurants came also into being. The special ambiance of the
area is added by the 'Saechsische Fahrzeugmuseum'. The 'Kinder-Idyll', the studio with the
'Kloeppelkiste' and the silver forge. The art studios offer creative courses. Expositions and
meetings take place regularly in the castle and the registry office (marriage license bureau)
in the historical building is an attraction for people who want to get married. Immediately to
the walls of the castle are hiking paths, bike trails and horse back riding and a golf course.
